Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín is a modern university providing a full range of technical, economic and management education in three degrees of study: bachelor, master/ engineering and doctoral in internal and external form of study.
The University was estabilished on July 1st, 1997. It is seated in significant business and industrial center at the valley of the Váh river under the medieval castle, in the town Trenčín. Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín consists of four faculties and two institutes: Faculty of Special Technology, Faculty of Health Care, Faculty of Industrial Technologies located in Púchov, Faculty of Social and Economic Relations, Department of Political Science and Vitrum Laugaricio – Centre of Excellence for Ceramics, Glass and Silicate Materials. The science-research activities at the university are mainly focused on:
study, development and evaluation of mechanical, physical and chemical properties of metallic, inorganic, polymeric materials, textiles, glass and silicate materials, development and production of machines and mechanisms for material processing, the mobile machinery for systems used in the defence industry, politicial science, public administration, human resources and personnel management, health care – physiotherapy, nursing, laboratory examination methods.
