University of Montenegro - Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics
The University of Montenegro was founded in 1974 representing the oldest higher education institution in Montenegro. The University has over 20.000 students. It is the largest and the only comprehensive higher education institution in the state comprised of nineteen faculties and two institutes of science.
Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics consists of four study programs: Biology, Mathematics, Physics and ICT. In addition to our teaching staff, one of the most important resources of the Faculty of Sciences and Mathematics are the students. Namely, each year, this Faculty enrolls about 240 students, who mainly had excellent grades in their high school education.
The Faculty has intensive cooperation and communication with the European and world research centers, aiming to be part of the world research network. In addition to CERN, cooperation has been established with two renowned EMBL and EMBO laboratories that open a wide range of opportunities for young researchers and PhD students.
