Teaching
Bose Institute is one of the oldest research
institutions in India established in 1917 by Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose,
FRS. The institute is engaged in research in various fields such as plant
biology, biophysical science, computational biology, molecular medicine,
microbiology, systems biology, complex systems and physical and
environmental sciences. In the experimental physics program, scientists are
involved in CBM experiment in FAIR and ALICE experiment in LHC. Other
research areas covered within the physics program are quantum information,
nuclear astrophysics, material science, Raman spectroscopy, physics of
strongly interacting systems etc. Bose Institute also have integrated
masters and PhD programs in physical and biological sciences.
