Research & Teaching
Research activities at the
department of physics
include
experimental high energy physics
with the
DØ
experiment at
Fermilab
and the
ATLAS
experiment at
CERN
(formerly also the
Delphi
experiment at the
LEP
accelerator). The
Astro Particle Physics group
takes part in the
Amanda
,
IceCube
,
Auger
and
Kaskade
experiments. Research in
theoretical particle physics
includes lattice field theory and particle physics phenomenology. Further research activities are the
physics of the atmosphere
,
condesed matter
and
statistical physics.
The
faculty of science
provides studies in
mathematics and computer science
,
physics
and
chemistry
. Achievable grades are bachelor/master (mathematics, chemistry,
applied science
) and master in
computersimulation in science
.
