Aims and Tasks

In the following chapters, you will learn how you can recognize and distinguish different elementary particles. You will need this knowledge for the following measurements. On the one hand you can identify the inner structure of the proton and on the other hand you will look for a new particle of which the LHC experiments ATLAS and CMS have seen first signs - the Higgs particle.
